Who is David “Ghostboy” Stavanger?

He is a Queensland based performance poet.
Ghostboy is the reigning Australian Performance Poetry World Cup Champion 2005, having taken the title in Nimbin. He is also a regular guest on ABC and community radio, and a member of the QLD Poetry Festival Committee 2006.
David's first book Station to Station, and CD If I was a Rock’N’Roll Girlfriend will both be released in 2006.
Ghostboy also created and is the ongoing ringmaster for ouTsideRS: Queensland's premier performance poetry/slam event (www.outsiders.ws). He has performed throughout venues and festivals in Qld, as well as recently touring Melbourne including feature gigs at Babble & Passionate Tongues.
Ghostboy describes his art as a hybrid of performance poetry, spoken word, and surrealist vaudeville that has been heavily influenced by the street, outlaw and beat writing movements in the USA.
