In 2005 The Word Wrestling Federation committed to setting up an Australian Team Poetry Slam Title (and to one day being sued by the World Wildlife Fund). To that end (the slam, that is, not the lawsuit), they had Jimbo Buckles create the WWF Title Belt. 
The WWF Title is an audience judged Team Poetry Slam -
poets compete as a team of four, performing solo, duo, trio
or ensemble (all team) poems.
The WWF presented the 2005 Title Bout between NSW and VIC;
and the 2006 "State Of Origin" team slam between QLD and NSW,
at the Sydney Writers' Festival.
The WWF is currently in hiatus, but the Title Belt may well be up for grabs again sometime in the not so distant future. In the meantime, if you want to contact us, email info@wordwrestlingfederation.com.au
